But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. ~ Matthew 6:6 This is definitely a difficult time in our lives. It is during this time we have to submit to the call of our Father. I believe that this is a perfect opportunity to arm ourselves , and learn to be still during this time.
We fight by being prayerful.
We fight by displaying love and kindness.
We fight with prayer and thanksgiving.
We fight by having compassion.

Be a Light.
It is always easier to think about yourself and the needs of your family during times of change and panic. I challenge you to think about the person who doesn't have the extra money to purchase in bulk. Or the person who has lost their job and cannot buy supplies the supplies their family needs. Think about the person who may not have family to comfort and be with them during this time of quarantine.

Create Your Tribe.
Social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t keep in touch with your family and friends. Doing life with others is the key to getting through difficult situations. When you create connections, you create family who will be there to challenge, comfort, and motivate you! As you speak to them over the phone or on video chat, try and chat about things that are upbeat! Motivate each other!

Write Your Legacy/Tell Your Story.
In life, we are faced with challenges that shape and mold us. What we doin the face of these challenges will be the story that we will tell our children. This legacy that will reveal true grit and resilience. Use this time to activate the power in your story- this demonstrates legacy in action! My friend good friend Penda said it best, "We have to write through it." Write through the pain. Write through the uncertainty. Write through he quarantine! If we remember this, we will birth a beautiful story that will be told by generations. Remember that your story has the power to break down barriers, and inspire others to hope. When you tell your story- you give voice to your dreams and goals. Don't allow the boxes of quarantine or social distancing keep you from dreaming. This is a time to revive your identity and tap into who (and Whose) you are. Where you are writing your first manuscript or or talking to friends and family on the phone, you are beginning a process that will promote healing and reconciliation!
